Energy

Something to Do with Energy & Synergy:

“Energy” is a word with endless possibilities. To try to describe energy is actually quite difficult as energy is either in all things or everything has had to rely on energy in order to exist.

To exhibit “energy” one must look at what exactly energy is. Energy is Life and Death. Energy is flowing and ever changing and yet somehow it is eternally the same. The differences between energy and mans creativity are almost undetectable yet deserves more attention than they get. Artists’ ideas for example, are like plants. Art and plant alike come from a sort of seed. These seeds could have been found if one were digging around either in the ground or in the artist’s mind a split second after either the plant or the idea began to sprout, or take form. This process of discovering seeds of art and of plant life is both difficult and almost impossible in many cases to detect unless you helped to plant both and tended both through the sprouting process. By studying the plant one may find clues to where the plant sprouted from, as might one who is studying an artist. However both of these examples require many different sources of energy to be able to flourish and produce fruit.

The Transcendental Arts Council’s on-going exhibit of “Energy” is a show consisting of art by some of the twenty-first century’s master creators whereas the energy theme is either illustrated by the artist or the energy behind the process of making the works can be imagined by the viewer as they view the work. Each “Energy” show is different as it changes form with the shape of the exhibiting space as well as name. The art changes from show to show – yet still exhibits energy. With each showing the focus may change and grow. The Transcendental Arts Council (TAC) and the “Energy” show planners continue to explore ways of making this unique on-going exhibit of “Energy” – full of energy. “We want the visitors to our ‘Energy’ themed showings to be exhilarated and energized by the art as well as by the direction of thought that we are exploring with each exhibit. We want each visitor who may decide to follow the show as it travels from location to location to feel like they are getting a new look at something unique, and that maybe they are learning something about the creative energy of man at the same time.

When discussing energy one doesn’t usually think about the energy that an artist exhibits or that which has to do with the process of creating something. Nor do most think of the reaction from the public to the creation after it has been created and exhibited. This show explores creative energy in ways both spoken and unspoken, in art and through other forms of expression. We can be available for lectures on this topic during the exhibition period as well as demonstrations.

Our “Energy” exhibits can consist of 10 to 100,000 pieces. The size and complexity of the exhibit depends on time, space and budget. We either hang the exhibit ourselves or in collaboration with the establishment’s Exhibits Director.
